We all have times in our lives where we need a
little help. These could be related to relationship issues whether at home or
at work, whether with family members, partners, spouses, schoolmates,
co-workers, supervisors, friends. Then again there are those difficult times
that are related to illnesses, job loss, disabilities, retirement, loss of a
loved one, end of life issues, adjustment to parenting, adoption, pregnancy,
school, work, direction in one's life, addictions.
Lastly there are those
that are related to chemical imbalances that in some way affect the way our
brain functions, which may contribute to emotional problems and/or mental
illness (no different from having diabetes) which may need medication therapy
(psychopharmacology). A person who recognizes when a little help is needed is on the way to improving or to maintaining a measure of stability. A holistic philosophy explains that our sense of well-being is related to the way our body, mind and soul (if we believe in the soul) interact and attempt to balance within the environment. We can improve the way we feel by investing effort in balancing those areas in our lives as best as we can. The purpose of this offered service is for the client to begin to identify problem areas and begin to address them. We are professionally and morally committed to helping you, providing you with the best around the difficulty that brings you to our offices. Process: The first visit or two consist of an intake process, which is an interview where questions are asked and a determination is made about the best course of treatment. The client is asked to take an active part in determining the goals and objectives or his/her treatment and to commit to working on accomplishing these. During the intake, you may be requested to obtain a copy of your last physical exam, lab work and/or EKG prior to being placed on medication. Necessary paperwork is completed
prior and during the intake process. The paperwork may include releases of
information, copies of insurance cards, a history about yourself and the
provision of service. Some major insurance and self-pay are accepted for payment. Included are Medicare, Mass. Health (Mass. Behavioral Health), BCBS (Medex, Master Health Plus, Medical Security Plan, Vita Insurance Plan, City of Boston Major Medical, Federal Employees, TJ Max option 4000, Blue Choice, Blue Care 65, Blue Care Elect, Personal Help Connections), One Health Plan of So. Mass., Health Care Value Management. Insurance reimbursement requires minimal disclosure as does your physical safety and the physical safety of others. NOT SURE IF YOU NEED HELP? Take
